My life in the near festive season...
Hello. I promise I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth. I've just been busy with everything Blogmas and Vlogmas - and I'm sure you're sick of all that before it's even started. (But it's just under four weeks to go till the big day aaah. I'm sorry.) This post is a little check in of sorts before Blogmas officially begins!! I've been up to so much in between work and eating my body weight in food. So, let's dive in...
Why do we feel the need to keep updated?
I wake up. Get ready for the day and then check my twitter/instagram before having breakfast. And then I have another check on the way to work before getting my book out. Another check in my break. And then in the evening after dinner, I'll stay on and off while watching YouTube and Netflix till 9pm and then switch everything off. Then an hour of reading before lights out at 10pm.
Does that sound like too much? Can you guys relate to that?
Sparkle and slay in the colder months
It's that time of year again when the days are getting shorter which means it gets dark earlier. And as a blogger, you either have to shoot photos in optimum time (i.e. from 10 to 2) or call it a day. Mew.
But aside from that sad fact, there is in fact lots of lovely beauty products to get stuck into! Feel like a radiant goddess with the seasonal appropriate products that I have to share with you guys in this edit. And soon you won't even care about the dark days...
Feeling all the feels
My wonderful blogging friend
Vicky tweeted something the other day...
“A friend told me a while back that when she had no friends she would watch a video or read a post and she wouldn't feel as lonely anymore. My point is that posts don't always have to be profound and perfect to have value. Human connection is what makes it all so great.”
And it got me thinking.
Tis' the season for tiny giiiftss
Let me ask you. What is a Christmas build up without advent calendars? Mainly ones that offer little gifts from beauty, to lifestyle and even chocolate. This year I decided I wanted two. One that was either a beauty one or a homeware one and a chocolate one. Soo I did some research, read loads of reviews on this year's selection and took my pick...
Time to find those timeless pieces
Well, hit me with a sock and throw all the Lush products I own in a bath. It seems I unintentionally fell into creating a capsule wardrobe. It seems SUCH a blogger term. But when you get in the habit of buying bits here and there and then having a huge clear out of other old clothes you hardly wear anymore, you'll soon come to realise you kind of have a few favourites that you wear over and over again. And in different ways.
Don't get me wrong, I still have a few other bits (well quite a few) that I still wear occasionally, but I tend to reach for the same things anyway. Because I want to feel (1.) hip and cool like I'm going into a insta shoot at any moment and (2.) just reaaaallly comfy. So, I'm listing three brands - probably obvious to me and you - that I ALWAYS turn to and part with all my money for. These I swear by if you want to go for the same looks but mix it up...
Adding some Christmas cheer
Seeing as we're coming up to December... *gasps all round* I thought it was about time I shared with you guys what little bits I picked up recently in a post for my room/tree. Now, I know I filmed it for my channel - which I'll try and link below if I remember to so you guys can watch it. But it seemed only right to make a whole post about it before Blogmas starts and I show off my decorated room.
Oooh I've been tagged in something
Way back in 2014/15 when I was getting into my blog, I was getting tagged right, left and centre for blogger awards. I got confused, thought I won something but then realised it was even better! It was a tag you take part in by giving a few facts or answering questions and then tagging more people!
And now I've been tagged in something else wooo.
Be a happy elf for a day
My favourite ever quote from
Elf is: "The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear." Which is the most truest thing I ever heard. And even when it's not the season for being jolly, it should be something that's happening all year round. I'm obviously not saying everyone is moody, but it's important to feel good about ourselves and equally important to make someone else feel good.
It's beginning to look a lot like xmas
It's that time of year again when I spend all my money on festive bath and shower products from Lush Cosmetics... And seeing as I work for the company now, it was even more dangerous. And it allowed me to get twice as much. And I don't regret it one bit.
Giving you a sweet lil' lowdown on my life
If you've been reading my blog for yonks, you've probably noticed that I've not been posting that much... Why? It's your favourite ever hobby? WHY ARE YOU SLACKING GAL?? Weeell, I've been trying out a new schedule of every other day but that's kind of failing isn't it? It's not that I'm not motivated (it kind of is but we'll look past that), it's because I'm so busy with work that I've been putting this little space on the back burner for a bit. Though enough of this sad story... here's the exciting bit...
Ho ho how about a bargain?
Let's be straight here, I went into Wilko with NO intention of coming out with anything. This trip was solely for the purpose of my friend getting clothes freshener. And I'm sure you don't want a Christmas post this early in November. But... you see the 'but' coming in now... I saw a shelf of cute air fresheners and candles. And lo and behold there were two of the cutest festive candles ever!
The day isn't over yet!
November is here and also the early evenings. Meh. But fear not my friends, even if the sun sets at half five, there's still so much you can do to (1.) relax and (2.) keep the day going! So, here's a little list of four things you can do that are sure to make you look forward for it to get dark early...
