See that instagrammable purple delight there? That's a blueberry muffin smoothie and I got the recipe off Pinterest this week, and it turned out so nice that I thought I would have to share it with you all! Containing the likes of oats, blueberries, bananas and vanilla it tastes very close to a muffin. Along with ice, it's the perfect wake up and cool down for the start of the day. Or as a snack in the afternoon along with a good read. So, enough rambling from me, here's the recipe... Note that all the measurements are in cups and I'm lucky enough to have cups, but do convert accordingly to what you have!
001: Ingredients:
one banana
one cup frozen blueberries
one teaspoon lemon juice
half a cup oats (can be gluten free)
one teaspoon vanilla extract
half a cup milk
one cup yoghurt
half a cup ice
002: Method:
Literally just add all the ingredients in the order that's listed, blitz together in a food blender or smoothie blender and voila, you have a lovely fresh cold purple smoothie! Be sure to take loads of pictures because it will make any instagram look 100% more amazing haha.
