Slay with eyeshadow for a lesser price!
Sure, we all love spending that extra on a palette because (a.) everyone's raving about it, so it must be good and (b.) it's just popular. But, if you have a nosey in the drugstore, you can get an almost exact dupe for a fraction of the price, and it could be just as good! ie. Makeup Revolution. They've just been killing the game lately and even though I have like eight palettes from them, it just isn't enough. I need more!! I can't really rave about them enough, so let's make this post to end all MR review posts... So buckle in and get ready for the ride to know why you need to part with your money for these products!
001: Apart from *some* other drugstore palettes, these are creamy and pigmented:
Long gone are the days when the eyeshadow you bought at the drugstore was as dry as the desert. (And to even get a nice finish, you would have to add 10 layers of it) But these palettes are pigmented and very creamy, so they apply fully to your eye in 1 to 2 swipes! And they all blend easily together to create different looks. AMAZING. I think £5-£10 for a palette is so worth paying for when you get this level of quality...
002: The pans are perfect size so you get your money's worth:
In some high end palettes - and even drugstore - the pans are sooo small that's it's not even worth getting it. Especially when you'll finish them in no time... But with this brand's palettes, they're quite big (even the singles which sadly you can no longer buy - noooo) I mean, just look at the palettes in this picture. I am all over them to be honest.
003: You'll forever be staring at the pretty packaging:
From their sister brand's chocolate bar palettes and baked blushers - which are dupes of Too Faced to their own large quirky and iconic range palettes, they're just all simple, minimal and gorgeous. It makes me want to take a million pictures of these and share them on instagram and twitter (the online version of me shaking your shoulders and shouting 'JUST LOOK AT ALL THE PRETTY!!'). The gold toned palette above is defo my favourite... Long gone are the days with crap and cheap looking plastic packaging.
004: Here are the palettes you need to buy!:
- Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 palette - a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked palettes
- I Heart Makeup Chocolate and Peaches palette - a dupe of the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette
- MR Fortune Favours The Brave palette - it's the gold one and it's pretty and also limited edition!
- MR Mermaids Forever palette - the colourful one pictured with the black packaging
- ALL of the I Heart Makeup chocolate palettes - they're all creamy and beautiful!
Ok that's enough of me raving about this brand... for now...
Have you tried anything from Makeup Revolution?

I read somewhere that they've released dupes of Kylie's lip kits which I'm going to have to get!
DeleteI've never really thought to buy a palette for a makeup revolution, just because its drugstore and I'm probably a bit of a snob really haha - I must pick one up though!
