The Alibi Book Club #22 | 5 Things I Learnt Reading Almost Adulting

How to be a legit adult

There's a little squidgy soft spot in my heart for youtuber books. Thankfully everyone's calmed down about the fact that these books are released to just make money. Because the big reason why I buy them is because who knows when the internet dies and we won't have anything to remember our faves by??

The most recent purchase I've made is Arden Rose's Almost Adulting because apparently 20 means you're expected to be a legit adult. Like book your own dentist appointments. And I need help with that... So her book comes at a perfect time! And instead of boring you with trying to sum this book up with a blurb, here's some things I've learnt while avidly consuming it - tips, fun anecdotes and all!

001: You will have to face your adult responsibilities eventually... Laundry, dishes, taxes, bills, etc. There's no escaping them sadly, but getting organised is a life saver!

002: It's completely inexpensive to create a rad interior of your dreams! Arden has some amazing tips up her sleeve. (And it's crazy how we're so alike)

003: The internet is a pretty powerful thing and as long as you keep your wits about, you can create some beautiful friendships online. And congrats! Talking to blogging pals is one of them!

004: Learning to love yourself is a key part of becoming an actual adult. Not giving a sh** about what other people think and taking time to self care.

005: Arden tells us about when she was working on a project and became an antisocial adult by going to bed early and waking at the crack of dawn. I can actually relate to this!
