How My 2019 Went Down

Happy new year and all that!

It's my annual post of  'where the f*** did the year go??'...

Not going to lie, I'm LIVING for the season of eating all the food and no one cares. (Because they're basically doing it too!)

But when New Year's Eve comes around, it's exciting but then I also start having a crisis when I realise 2010 is ACTUALLY ten years ago and not four years ago...

SO to celebrate this wonderful arrival of a new (also scarily close) decade, here's the highlights of how my year of twenty nineteen went down. *party poppers*

001: seeing my faves in concert!:
Your girl kicked the year off by seeing The 1975 for the second time in January. (And spent the entire next day crying because she missed them so much) I then was lucky enough to go VIP to see Marina at the Royal Albert Hall in May and then again in November at the Hammersmith Apollo. I feel so lucky to be able to see my favourite artists in person - I hope 2020 will bring even more shows for me!

002: getting my dream promotion! (even if I STILL doubt myself):
FYI I work at Lush and I got promoted to supervisor in March. Scary but exciting right?? I feel in this role, it's helped me grow as a person and in my job. Even though I do still consider myself not as good at it than my colleagues lol. It's so fun though to help manage a shop for a brand I adore.

003: a whirlwind mental year!:
My brain decided this was the year to go haywire. Mental exhaustion, random crying moments in amoungst the happiness and very mild anxiety. I blame my periods because they were a B**** this year. 2020 needs to be the year I get it together haha.

004: quality time with my pals!:
On the happy side, I saw a lot of my friends this year which was amazing. As we're all super duper busy with work and personal lives, it's hard to catch up. But in those moments we did, it was some of the best! (And of course it included trips out to get food yay yay!)

005: finally feeling 22!:
Ok, I'm lying. I still feel 16 years old lol. But I turned 22 this year and it's an age that shakes you and screams in your face that you're a legit adult now and you need to get it together. Obviously, I'm going to ignore it...

How was your 2019? Let me know!
