The Alibi Book Club #4

-- Here's the laugh out loud companion
you'll be loving this summer --

Firstly, do you like the snazzy new name to my book series? I thought it was very fitting for the new blog name. Anyway, this month's book is a right funny one, and you can say it's very much like the previous review - you can see that here.

The plot of this is about a journalist called Angela who lives in New York and gets a big break in Belle mag (which is like the Vogue of the fashion world in the book) and gets sent to Paris to get the scoop on the best places to visit. At the same time, she also goes there to attend her boyfriend's festival slot, but there's problems when his ex arrives...

Yup, it's a romantic/fashion novel, so it's very girly, but so very funny. It's set in past tense but Kelk brings a similar style to Kinsella's to the table which makes it very hard to put down. The plot isn't heavy and is easy to read, so that easily makes it for the perfect beach/flight read. This book is part of a series, so if you like it, you can also pick up the others.

I think it took me about a week to read and even though it was set in the city of love, I don't think that made it any more soppy to the others. If you like a book to fall in love with the main protagonist and become immersed in their world, then this would be the choice.

What book are you guys currently reading?
