-- Looking at how much I've changed
through the means of blogging --
In September 2015, I cringe now at the first few posts in 2014. There's a few reasons.
1. The photos are really bad quality.
2. My writing is diabolical.
3. I don't know what I was thinking in terms of my theme.
Now it's come to that point where I want to delete the posts, well the ones that I hate, and continue on this fresh minded journey that I seem to have nurtured through continuous blog adaptions, the addition of an iPhone and camera. (As well as getting a marble chopping board.) Yes, the background above was used to chop food.
Am I the only one that feels this way, I know others have kept their first few posts from years ago. Referring to professional bloggers that are currently popular. But for me I feel like that's so past my taste that I kind of feel proud but kind of want to change that image that people had of me at the time.
I've changed a lot in the year I've been a blogger, mainly because I've been exposed to such environments of minimalist themes and getting your voice heard. For me, I'm slowly but surely getting there. Now I want to express myself not only through writing but through images.
I want to start a few series like:
1. a photography series
2. more restaurant reviews (when I have money)
3. more photo diaries
4. travel bucket lists
The need to do all this crosses with what you guys want, I don't want to commit to something that drives readers away. I also don't want to delete my first few posts...
If you have any suggestions and ideas about what I want to do, please comment below. I might start the photography series tomorrow, but I haven't come to a conclusion yet haha.
Have a good day. x

I've actually just deleted posts from the first few months of last year and I'm feeling much better now :)
DeleteI wanted to delete some of my posts from a few years ago but I think it's nice to remember how far you've come with blogging and it's a good way to see how your blog has changed over the past couple of months. Another reason why I don't want to delete them is because I put a lot of hard work into those posts, haha.
ReplyDeleteI can understand that, but some were so crap I had to say goodbye and I feel I'm putting more work into my posts now
DeleteThank you guys for all your lovely comments! *all the hugs!*
