Counting the small things...
How's your time at home been?
For me it feels like one long eeennndless day where it's light and then dark -- and light again...
I've finally got into the sweet mindset of treating this as like a holiday at home.
(Cos' what else can you think of to make it more positive??)
So here's me talking to you guys about the little things I've done so far to bring joy to my time at home...
001: addiction to animal crossing:
Yup. I'm one of those people that's addicted to the game. AND in all honesty, it's one of the main things bringing me happiness. It's so relaxing developing an island, fishing, catching bugs and fufilling little tasks.
And I aptly named it 'Happy Isle'.
The picture above was taken when I first started the game... so I've come a looooong way since then. If you want to see my island now then watch my island tour vlog here!!
002: becoming a real bookworm:
I've read a few books since staying at home and aiming to read more.
If you're feeling nosy, here's a little list of what I read...
- the flatshare - beth o'leary
- johnny panic and the bible of dreams - sylvia plath
- before the coffee gets cold - toshikazu kawaguchi
- girl, woman, other - bernardine evaristo
- trick mirror - jia tolentino
- the binding - bridget collins
- how we disappeared - jing-jing lee
003: doing some doodles:
Like pictured above, I've enjoyed the doodles I've been creating on photoshop! It's calming on the mind and it's nice to concentrate on something that isn't the news. Follow me on my illustration account if you want to see more like this!
004: actually doing exercise:
Ummmm yeah.
I've been trying so hard to do some daily exercise (around max 15 minutes though) just to get me moving a bit - and walking around the garden in the sun. Going from such an active job to no physical movement has made me so tired. So this is how I'm combating it!
What have you all been doing?
