-- No actual soap but certainly some glory --
So, for the first in a series of reviews from my recent drugstore haul, I picked up these two Soap & Glory products - the For Daily Lotion 6 in 1 Moisture Lotion and the Thick and Fast Flash Extensions Effect Mascara. I bought these because (1.) I needed a new mascara and a facial moisturiser to make my expensive Lush one last longer and (2.) I just love Soap & Glory products. If you haven't noticed from my beauty posts already...
Firstly, I just want to put out there that the Daily Lotion smells like peaches and apricot yoghurt which is actually really nice and not really sickly. That's because it has fruit in as well as other ingredients like coconut oil and sesame seed oil. It claims to do all these things like raise moisture levels, soothe skin and improve the elasticity of your skin and is suitable for all skin types. I tend to use this day and night before my makeup and after cleansing and toning.
The lotion generally sinks in quite well into the skin and you don't need that much. For £12, I think it's a teeny little steep for a moisturiser that isn't entirely all natural like Lush. But, so far I'm liking it and if it lasts as long as I think it will, there might be a repurchase but in all I think Lush is the one for me.
The Thick and Fast Mascara is the third mascara I've used from the brand, but the first type that makes your lashes look like they have lash extensions. I have to say the bristles on the wand are really soft and small and on application, they really lengthen your lashes. If you like thick full lashes, this won't be for you as this is a mascara that just makes them look longer and only slightly thickens them.
I was quite surprised at the results as they really do make my lashes looks like they have extensions. This is definitely a new favourite of mine if I want to go for a look that is more natural! For £10, this is worth investing in - plus I love the packaging.
Have you guys used any Soap & Glory skincare/makeup products before?

I love Soap and Glory but don't have these products! Do you think the mascara is good for holding a curl? 😀 Feel free to have a read of my blog over on www.roisinslatest.blogspot.co.uk xx
ReplyDeleteI've never curled my lashes so I don't actually know but with the shape that the wand is I don't think so xx
DeleteFinally a mascara that makes you look like you have fake lashes without breaking the bank! I guess you'd maybe double up with another mascara for volume. Great post.

yeah you could do that and I admit it's worth the money I'm in love with it!!
DeleteWe've only ever tried Sop and Glory's liquid liner which is amazing, but we love smaller bristles for mascara as they seem to catch every lash, so will have to give this one a go :)
