I got this cheeky little travel sample of the Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner free with ELLE the other day. I was actually quite excited as Benefit is a pricier brand and as a poor person (joking) like myself, to get one free was amazing. It came in a lovely little box and I couldn't wait to share it with you guys.
I'm sure you all know by now, that this product is a gel liner in the style of a pen - apparently. It has a pointed rubber end where the gel comes out of and it's a bit strange I think, as I've never had this sort of thing before. With size, I think it's quite cute as you can just pop it into your travel make-up bag for topping up on a day out or a weekend away.
It applied quite well to my hand as it produced a nice thin line that I was really impressed with. But then the disaster happened, when I applied it to my eye it was really hard to do a swift line, I don't know about you but I had to keep squeezing the gel out. My wing went horribly wrong, so I was basically a clueless bean making a mess of my eye. Eventually, I got it out, but I sneakily used my S&G pen to finish the flick. That's how unskilled I am, though my excuse is that I've never used a gel before.
I hope the full size version is better, but I think I'll stick to my pen liner. Thank goodness I didn't buy it as I probably would have wasted about £10 on it, but I'll give it another go and hope it's my terrible skills that let the product down.
Have you guys tried the liner? Did it work for you?

You might just need a bit more practice with this particular liner but at least it was a freebie with ELLE rather than a wasted purchase :) xx
