Because it's much better than teenhood
I'm nearly 20 (omg) and I'm so happy in myself, I have a job and I love my life. And after seeing Kyla's post on why she loves being an adult, I thought I would jump on her bandwagon and do my own post. Do give her blog some love as I've been reading her blog since forever - and it's amazing! Ok, back to the post, here are all the reasons...
I can go out wherever I want in London and meet up with friends - even in the evening omg
Treating myself can be more than once a month because I earn my own money yaay
YESS I earn my own money and I have a job that I love
I feel like my tastes as a newly blossomed adult are pretty rad, especially with interiors
I can have coffee whenever and wherever I want (ie. at home and at Starbucks ON THE SAME DAY)
I feel so happy within myself, I'm on my way to accepting myself and so glad that the school days are over...
I've had the opportunity to meet so many lovely people as an adult so far and I'm so grateful
I can on impulse gorge on pasta and/or pizza and my parents can't complain
I CAN BUY ALL THE BAGS
Eating chocolate every night is a blessing
Here's to being able to buy my own concert tickets with my own earned money woo hoo
Also, here's to the fact that I'm going on my own with friends to see The 1975 at the O2 yaaay
I can choose my own bedtime (ie. 10pm - wow I'm sooo wild!)
You can continously learn new things in the real world and not just in school
Now that I'm older I find it easier to appreciate the little things like having dinner with the family
I get to choose what I wear and how I present myself. Lazy Oaf, Primark and Zara all the way!
I'm not restricted in my creativity and I have the means to express that in anyway I can
Doing *some* house chores are actually pretty fun! (changing my bed and hoovering - but don't let my mum see this...)
You have no one constantly judging you within a confined space day in day out, and fully expressing yourself as a young adult cannot be more important
I have the chance to actually have better music taste than my 12 year old self. Yes to Marina, Mars, The 1975 and Twenty One Pilots!
No more benchball or rounders in PE - you don't know how happy this makes me haha
I can actually get good at applying makeup and not look like a panda - a nod again to having money to buy good products
Dyeing my hair as an adult is the best thing ever and I have the choice to choose whatever colour I want - as long as my mum approves hehe
Bordering 20 is where the real fun begins, so here's to the fun times as a young adult woo hoo
What do you guys love about being an adult?

What a positive and happy post! Absolutely love it! Although we often complain about adulting wrong or having to adult at all it's a pretty great thing. Totally with you about drinking all the coffee and also a HUGE lover of Lazy Oaf! They are one of my favorite brands! Earning your own hard-earned money is also one of the best feelings in the world! :D

DeleteI mean I'm in my last year of college, but since turning 18 I've definitely felt more of an adult. I'm also going to see the 1975 at the O2 ahhh I'm so excited!
