Sometimes you gotta follow the crowd!
I've seen a lot of these posts pop up everywhere, so I thought it was about time I jumped on the bandwagon to talk about the products that youtubers/bloggers made me buy. All of these are drugstore products which is due to the fact that all these are dupes/amazing quality brands. I might also film a youtube version for my channel... I haven't yet decided. But in the meantime here's what bloggers made me buy...
001: Seventeen Easy On The Eye palette in Birthday Suit:
I'd seen a few people give positive reviews on this palette when it was released, and I was looking for something different that included a lot of nude shades. Plus, having tried other Seventeen products I liked - why the hell not?? It comes with powder and cream shades, and in all honesty, I prefer the cream shades and I hardly use the powder ones. There's also a primer but that's crap as hell.
002: Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara:
We all know what this is a dupe for. I don't even need to say it. Seeing everyone and their grandma compare the Benefit Rollerlash to this one, Maybelline always sneaked up to the top. (Zoe London made me cave in and buy it) And no wonder, it's over half the price AND it's still to this day my favourite for creating thick beautiful lashes. Definitely my holy grail mascara!
003: L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Sepia Silk:
This beautiful moisturising nude lip was all down to Gabbie aka velvetgh0st. She wore this in one of her vlogs and I was like 'I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!' I snapped it up in Boots and it's still one of my favourites if I really want a muted nude lip. It's so pretty and creates a lovely shine on the lips.
004: Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour kit:
Gabbie is such an enabler. She got this as part of her drugstore haul, and having never contoured in my life. I thought after seeing this in the video, it was a good excuse to start! (This was also before I knew how good highlighting could be!) This is my favourite contour product so far, the powder creates a beautiful blend on the skin, and even though I don't use the highlight part anymore, I would still buy it again!
005: Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox mask:
I was looking for a new face mask to try at the time as I was just using Lush, and other drugstore ones made me react, when Estee Lalonde showed this in her haul. It seemed perfect and very different to anything I've tried. It's the only face mask that I don't react to, and actually heats up and removes the excess oils on my face. Such a good blogger purchase haha.
006: Rimmel Kate Moss in 107:
Ok, ok. EVERYONE has probably put this in their post. But this was the first ever purchase I got which was due to a blogger talking about it. It was when I was first starting to get into makeup back at the mere beginnings of 2014. And that's all down to my youtuber queen Zoella!! Two years on I still wear it almost every day and I still really love the quality and the colour. The best drugstore lipstick ever.
007: Garnier Micellar Water:
So last year, or the year before... I can't remember. Micellar waters became a thing, and then Garnier brought this out and we all freaked out. With reviews left, right and centre, I knew I had to get it. It is a good product, but it doesn't work well on it's own. But it's fantastic to use to get the majority of my makeup off and then I can use my Lush 9 to 5 to do a double cleanse. The one pictured is probably my fourth or fifth bottle haha.
008: Soap & Glory Glow All Out highlighter:
Yet ANOTHER influenced by Gabbie purchase. I swear most of the products I own are due to Zoe and Gabs haha. But because I couldn't afford to get the NARS stick highlighters (in whatever colour it was) I wanted something cheaper but almost exactly like it. And then Gabs showed this in her PO Box haul as it was a new release and I almost screamed. Two months of hunting and seeing it sold out on the website since forever, I managed to get it. It's a really good highlighter, and it's perfect value for money. Though I'm too in love with my Sleek palette right now oops.
Name one product that bloggers make you buy?

Bloggers are just so enabling! I love the micellar water - they do one now which is combined with oil which is really good for the winter, my skin loves it!

I know haha and I probably won't try that as my skin doesn't agree with the half oil, half water combinations :(
DeleteI totally forgot about the Garnier Micellar Water, that was definitely a purchase influenced by bloggers for me!

DeleteOh a blogger definitely made me go out and buy some micellar water. And honestly I'm glad they did, it's such a quick product to use! I've never even heard of the Soap and Glory highlight but now I have my eye on it!
