The 'Perfect For Winter' Skincare Routine

Let your skin drink up this goodness

In recent years, skincare routines have stopped becoming a chore and have evolved (like a pokemon) into something that I generally look forward to. Instead of just a makeup remover and toner, I now go all out with loads of products which you might think will take an age to use in an evening, but really is so quick, and I want to take you guys through it and review the products for you - because that's what bloggers do!!

001: Revealing the eye bags:
The first step in getting ready to indulge in the evening, is to take off your eye makeup first. I cannot tell you how nice it is to use the Simple eye makeup remover by soaking it in a cotton pad, and patting it on my eyelids. All you need to do is shake the oil with the water, apply to a pad and apply and in one pat on each eye, the day old makeup just literally melts away without leaving an oily trace. Ahhh heaven.

002: Getting rid of all the day's gunk:
Just typing about this is making me want to take off my makeup now... I'm doing this in the evening and the temptation is unreal.... (brb I'm going to run and do it) Anyways, taking off the rest feels refreshing and like a breeze and my go to is the Garnier Micellar Water! It's so easy to use and you're not there using a million pads trying to get it all off - plus it's so gentle on the skin.

003: Double cleansing all the way!:
One of my favourite steps is after everything's off, going in with a double cleanse by using the Lush 9 to 5 cleansing lotion feels like a dream. It's exactly like using the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, except it's from Lush, smells equally amazing and you use your own cloth to get it off. It's just beautiful and I've had it for a good few months, and I've only just got halfway! You get a lot for your buck!

004: Close those pores:
After the whole cleansing ceremony, it's time to freshen up the skin even more and close the pores now that they've been cleaned out. I love using the Lush Tea Tree Water toner which also is antibacterial so gets rid of all the spots on my face within a day or two of usage. It's just epic, and I would highly recommend it to you guys.

005: And now massage in some cream and relax:
Lastly, it's now moisturiser time! Popping open your favourite cream brings the whole skincare routine to a satisfying close. Lush's Vanishing Cream is rich, beautiful and also helps to keep the mini spots on my face at bay. To be honest, if they ever discontinue this I'd actually cry...

  1. I'm loving using Biodema personally, I tried out that Garnier cleansing water but it broke me out which is so frustrating!

  2. I've been using the Garnier micellar water for years now, it's part of my routine every season haha. The Lush 9 to 5 cleanser sounds great, I'll have to give it a go! At the moment I'm using the Pixi Mud Glow cleanser, it makes the skin super clean and bright :)
