January Favourites

What kicked off the first month of 2017

Hello February, I know you're themed around love and all that, but can you make sure we get the best Spring Lush collections - thanks... Anyways, now I've got my one sentence rant over, let's look back at what I've been OBSESSED with in January! These past four weeks have literally gone so fast but also so slow at the same time, and I don't know how that's even possible, but looking at these favourites, it's been a good month! I've also uploaded a favourites video to my YouTube which will be linked below, I've added in some extras that aren't in this post, so go and watch that if you want to see me get really excited about them haha.

001: I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts blusher in Peachy Keen Heart:
I got this for Christmas among other lovely beauty bits, and I've fallen in love with this blusher. It's sooo pretty to look at and when you swirl the blush brush in, it creates a lovely shimmery peachy colour that's perfect for this time of year! It's an amazing dupe for the Too Faced baked blushers and I've kind of neglected my Soap & Glory blushers because of this. Oops.

002: Nakd Bars:
These raw fruit and nut bars have been my go to snack as of late. They taste really naughty (and have flavours like bakewell tart, pecan pie and rhubard and custard) but are actually really healthy. Most count as one of your five a day and are also vegan woo hoo. I'm really trying to be more healthy, so these are perfect for popping in my bag for work. And I do think bakewell tart is my favourite out of all of them... nom nom nom.

003: Lush Prince Charming shower cream:
As you should all know by now, Lush released their Valentine's range at the beginning of the month, and I went a bit crazy and bought nearly the whole collection. My favourite so far has been this shower cream! It contains marshmallow root and pomegranate juice, so it smells like a cross between strawberry selection chocolates and turkish delight... It's just beautiful and I use it almost every morning. The bottle itself is sooo cute and a little does go a long way.

004: Treats // Lara Williams:
I think this was the third book I read last month. (I started my 5th on the 31st so you know how my reading challenge is going haha) This little book is a collection of stories with central themes like identity, tyranny of choice, taxidermy, love, etc. Williams is an amazing writer and I was hooked from the start. It's also one of those books that you can dip in and out of and take your time, as the stories are neither too long nor short. I would strongly recommend this to you guys!

005: Too Faced Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette:
Last, but by no means least, how can I write this post and not include my most recent love?? You've probably seen me rave about this to death for the past few days (see my previous blog posts - sorry not sorry haha) But this palette is so dreamy with colours so creamy, pigmented and so blendable I could cry. Plus the packaging is just the cutest. I won't go on for too long because I'll be repeating myself, but it's the best £39 I've spent.

  1. Everyone just raves about the Sweet Peach palette but I'm too inexperienced with eyeshadow to bother buying one!

    1. Aww no don't let that put you off! It comes with a guide on how to do different looks if you aren't too sure! But they're so easy to blend and apply, it would be worth buying xx
