That time I raided the S&G counter
When a gal needs to get essentials waaay in advance so she can save money for the coming months, where does she head to first? That's right, the Soap & Glory counter in Boots! Having hit pan on my brow product and nearing the end of my primer, I wanted to stock up (along with a few other bits like makeup pads and toner...) and it was just by coincidence that I spent enough that I got a full size gift for free! You read that right my friends, I spent over £14 and got three full size products for free. Omg. A few of these I've used before but I've LOVED and a couple I'm intrigued by...
001: Old Favourites:
Archery DIY brow bar: My beloved. My cherry to my blossom. This brow kit is the best and only brow product I use to get my eyebrows 'on fleek' as they say. And you guys know, if you've read my blog for a couple of years, I've gone on and on about this. There's a setting wax, powder and highlight all in one for £12. Bargain. It's so good that if you see my brows 'naked' you'll wonder where they've gone haha.
Supercat eyeliner: Not going to lie, I haven't used this in years, and I've only just remembered about it when it was one of the three products in the gift I got. The pen nib isn't too big and it's perfect for getting a gorgeous blacker than black cat eye. Though, of course it won't automatically give you the skills to make them the bomb. That takes practice but this lovely product helps you along...
Thick & Fast mascara: So out of all the three, this one is my favourite - it's the closest one you can get to the Benefit Rollerlash in the drugstore (apart from the Maybelline one!). All you do is use the 'V' side to give a bit of length and the roller side to give curl and volume! Plus you can't really say no to pretty gold packaging. *heart eyes*
002: New Treats:
One Heck Of A Blot primer: I'm in a mood where I want to shake up the products I use and try new ones from different brands. I saw this while browsing through the counter and it sounded perfect. It claims to keep your skin shine free, help your makeup last longer and you only need a teeny bit for each application. The only thing I don't like about this, is how much I actually love it after one use and I don't want to finish the NYX one I'm halfway through. It's basically a cheaper (£10) version of the Benefit POREFessional primer and I'm legit sold. (You may see this in a future favourites)
Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump lipgloss: This week has been the only week I've paid attention to the lipglosses from the brand... When you get one free, you're for sure want to try it. It claims to have some sort of 'plumping technology' to make your lips look fuller, and it's a clear lipgloss. So I think if you wanted to, you could put it over any lipstick to give it a bit of extra shine. It does tingle on my lips (it says it will) but I don't really see much of a difference... I think my lips are quite 'full' anyway, but it does smell like fruits when you apply it, so that's a bonus I guess!
Have you guys tried any new products from S&G?
