Scout out the best eats in London
Let's detract from my manky thumb and stare at the wonder at my gorgeous free-from froyo... And no, I'm not vegan but it was pretty damn good and one of the best places to get a treat in Central London! I feel like I've done a post like this when I first started my blog *strokes chin*, but in any case from exploring and good ol' Instagram recommendations, I have some new favourite places!
While you're soaking up your own culture (or if you're from out of town and you're falling in love with London) you need a break from it all. And what better time than to grab a treat or a bite to eat...
I've got a few favourites to tell you guys about that you need to discover. And before you ask, yes they are instagrammable! So, settle back and get ready to make a food bucket list!
001: Peggy Porschen // Belgravia:
The stereotypical place for all things pink and pretty. EVERY blogger has probably been there, but their cakes are a legit wonder. Not only is their coffee good (ok it's like your average coffee shop and there's no coffee art) but you'll be blown away by the cake! It's not too rich, really moist and the buttercream and flavours are forever on point! Want to read more? Check out my post on it here!
002: Yorica // Soho:
Yes, the fro-yo pictured above is from here and what a cool name? You'll be shouting this when you take your first mouthful! You get the choice of flavours (fruity or sweet), toppings (healthy or naughty) and the coolest part is that the sprinkles are FREE. The classic size is pretty massive so you get what you pay for and it's perfect for having as a treat on a hot summer day. They even do ice cream and milkshakes. Though as it's a vegan place there's actually no dairy in them.
003: Cutter and Squidge // Soho:
My friend introduced me to this place and it's cake heaven! Three tier slices and there's so many flavours to choose from like chocolate - the classic - or even matcha tea. (FYI they were both reaaallyyy nice) Their aesthetic? Bright, cute and full of ikea pot plants. Perfect accessories for flatlays! Last year they even had a Hello Kitty afternoon tea even which looked like the cutest thing ever...
004: Shake Shack // Covent Garden Market:
If you want something more wholesome that isn't sweet but full of aaaaaaalll the cheese! Then you should go here for sure! It's like a British IN-N-OUT with cheese fries and double burgers holy moly. Plus the light in the market makes for perfect photo lighting haha. I've only had this once, but because I was pretty exhausted from personal stuff I feel I didn't appreciate as much as I could have done. But I would defo go back again.
005: Crosstown Doughnuts // Soho:
ANOTHER sweet place but this time it's all about the donuts! You can get your classic, but you can also get ones like coffee, coconut, kiwi, lime and even peanut butter! They also have a pop up in Camden Market and after having one of these, you'll never want to buy a supermarket donut AGAIN!
What are your favourite places to eat in London?

This list is really useful because I didn't know about some of these! I haven't been to Peggy Porschen yet but I really want to, but I'm scared that whenever I go there's gonna be a long queue or nowhere to sit since it's such a popular café.
ReplyDeleteCutter and Squidge also sound like a nice place, especially if their cakes are good - can you tell I really like coffee and cake? haha :P
