Winter Beauty Edit

Sparkle and slay in the colder months

It's that time of year again when the days are getting shorter which means it gets dark earlier. And as a blogger, you either have to shoot photos in optimum time (i.e. from 10 to 2) or call it a day. Mew.

But aside from that sad fact, there is in fact lots of lovely beauty products to get stuck into! Feel like a radiant goddess with the seasonal appropriate products that I have to share with you guys in this edit. And soon you won't even care about the dark days...

001: Makeup Revolution Soph X eyeshadow palette: Do I even need to give you a reason to buy this? Having raved about it here, as well as every other blogger in existence. This palette is INCREDIBLE for the £10 price tag. Not only do you have beautiful warm shades to contrast with the cold winter month. But they all blend like a dream and the shades have amazing names... A 5* drugstore palette if I ever saw one.

002: Lush Ocean Salt face and body scrub: Not only does this smell amazing with sea salt, avocado butter and fresh organic lime (extracted in vodka), it's pretty good for scrubbing away dry skin. Be it body OR face! The lime is actually made antibacterial so can help a little with blemishes so great for break outs and super dry skin. This one is your friend in the winter if you suffer from really dry legs. Like moi. Ok tmi?

003: MAC Matte lipstick in Russian Red: I don't think I need to go on about this much because (1.) I've talked about this plenty of times on my blog and (2.) It's almost everyone's favourite! While being matte, it's not drying at all and sits comfortably on the lips. So comfortable in fact that you forget you have it on haha. It's perfect for adding that classic festive red to your lips and brings a gold metallic eye look together.

004: Lush Santa Baby lip scrub: Another scrub product from Lush. Ooh my. This one is made from castor sugar and has extracts of cherries and dates along with black pepper and lime oils makes it taste like vanilla coca cola. Which is the best thing ever, especially with the Christmas ad on now. Not only does it taste and smell amazing, but you'll also be exfoliating away dead skin on your lips so you can apply a lip balm or a have pretty layer of lipstick to finish a look.

005: Sleek highlighting palette in Distorted Dreams: Aside from the Solstice palette which is my faaaave. This one is probably even better for this time of year. Containing pretty hues of pink, yellow, orange and even purple and green, you can create ANY look. There's both cream and powder shades so there's something for everyone! Sleek make amazing quality products and I defo think this up there with some of the best.

006: Barry M glitter nail paints: I'm not including the names as you sadly can't buy these particular ones any more, BUT the ones they do have in stores are similar. You can't go wrong really with a glittery nail - especially as it's getting closer to Christmas! They are a little hard to get off but I guess that proves they're staying quality and means you can paint them way in advance of the big day. Plus Barry M in general are the best go to for nail paints.

Are there any products you use more at this time of year?

  1. Russian Red is such a classic! I often wear vibrant red lipstick for Christmas - and matching nails, but I often add gold sparkles on the nails to. It's the best time of year to get creative with makeup and go all out with glitter!
