My home is my best friend
My favourite type of day off (aside from seeing my favourite people) is staying at home.
I just love that comforting feeling you get from feeling safe and cosy in a home environment.
I think it comes along with being an introvert.
Don't get me wrong, I loooove spending time with family and friends. But I mainly thrive on being alone, recharging and getting stuck into a good ol' book or sparkly new Netflix series.
With a beaut steaming cup of coffee of course.
That's probably why - if I'm out - I'm thinking about my bed by 9pm...
I'm all about creating that environment that I crave to be in. I have no idea whether it's because I'm moulding my room around aaaaall the pinterest pins I have going in interiors. (The duvet pictured is my latest obsession) Or, it's just generally a bright and cosy place to be.
If I'm being truthful, I have no idea where I'm taking this post. But I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you ask me to go out, I want to know if I'll be home by the early evening so I can get back to my room.
So, in conclusion, these are the lessons I've learnt:
- Being a homebody means I'm basically and introvert and kind of on the verge of being a hermit. Lol.
- I'm obsessed with creating the perfect interior. I mean, can my home haven just be Heal's or Anthropologie please???
- I enjoy the small comforts of life within my cosy kingdom. Like coffee, relaxing, baths. Just taking it slow really.
- I also just want plants everywhere. These green friends make me want to be in my home more.
- And if I am out, it's because it's in an environment I'm completely comfortable in and with people I trust and love through friendship.
- Or I'm at a concert seeing a fave. Ayyyy The 1975.
Do any of you consider yourselves homebodies?

DeleteI'm definitely a homebody, I love my own space and just chilling at home is when I'm probably most comfortable!

Woo! I’m actually having the best time spending my holiday in my room reading and watching YouTube! This week is a lot of catching up with friends though but I’m also all for going out on the town haha xx
DeleteI can relate 100%! I'm such a homebody and I'd much rather be at home reading, baking cookies, etc than go out. It's probably why I'm also obsessed with interiors, haha.

Yes to baking cookies too!!
DeleteI'm probably 40% homebody, 60% not. I love traveling and exploring, but I couldn't travel for months on end, I like to come home to something I know and love. I do value my relaxing evenings though. I love being home and relaxed by 8PM to read, watch TV, have some ice cream and just relax!

Lol same here! 8pm is full on chill time haha! I mean I did enjoy my weekend away in Brighton but it wasn’t too far and I’ve never ever stayed away longer than two days... I’d love to see if I could stay away longer... xx
DeleteI'm definitely a homebody these days.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger I always used to be out and about. I can't imagine doing that these days!
I never had a social life when I was younger so I guess that’s where it started haha! I’d just be in my room playing music and reading a book!
DeleteThank you guys for all your lovely comments! *all the hugs!*
