Indulging In Korean Beauty: Cute Jiinju Sheet Masks

Is the result as cute as it looks?

I was in Superdrug the other week, a bit bored and wanting to find something different but cheap to treat myself to.

Y'know when you're just like: 'I need an indulgent treat yourself for some me time moment'

And that's when I spotted this Korean beauty brand Jiinju beauty next to the Zoella Beauty stand.

Ooooh.

They seem to be a brand that specialise in sheet masks and hand cream with the cutest packaging I HAVE EVER SEEN.

I picked up duo pack for the reasonable price of £2 - because I'm not about to go all out - that consists of a cucumber and avocado mask set. One that soothes and one that hydrates?? Uh YES PLEASE.

What's great about these, they are not only made in Korea but are also cruelty free and vegan. (And sulfate free if you want to know that too!)

SOOO, let's down to the trying...

PS. I was going to upload photos of me in these masks but I didn't like how I looked... so PLEASE take my word for it haha.

Both masks upon opening of the packets are soaked in mask juice. That's all I can describe it as... And the masks themselves are made from a kind of thin fabric which is quite comfortable on the face upon application.

Even though the cucumber is advertised as soothing, I found it just as moisturising as the avocado one. I mean I felt my face was swamped with face mask to the point where I was scared it would seep into my mouth and I'd swallow it haha.

BUUUUUT, that didn't happen and once I got used to the feeling of leaving it on for around 20 mins, I relaxed. (In that time I watched a bit of YT as you do)

After the time was up, I peeled off the mask/s and damn. My face was moist. And the next instructions was to massage the excess in circular motions. But there was too much... So I found easier to soak up the excess with a tissue and then continue to massage it in.

I'm being honest here, the face masks felt lovely but I did come in tiny spots on my chin and cheek, so I think they might have been a bit too rich for me and my skin wasn't used to it.

If this is something you're after though and you skin needs feeding, then defo get this as it's a bargain for £2! Me? It was nice to try, but I'm sticking with Lush haha

Are you a fan of sheet masks?
