Recounting magical moments
It's pretty safe to say that I have put this blog on the back burner for the time being...
June was a whirlwind of events and the month ended just when it felt like it was beginning. And that's kinda saying something during this weird "what the hell is going on?" time.
To check in with you lovely lot, I thought I'd let you in on a few things that made my June wonderful!
(FYI: I did have a beauty post lined up but I'm reconsidering posting it because of the drama that surrounds this brand...)
Anyways, let's dive right in!
001: new plant babies:
Despite the climate, you couldn't keep yours truly away from a garden centre - even if you tried. On a luckily quiet day, I went to plant heaven and bagged some essential pots and soil AND a new plant! She'll be making a feature in the next post, and she's called Pearl and is a cute spider plant. (Having repotted her asap, she's already thriving and this makes me so happy!)
002: returning to work *yay*:
On June 15th, I was officially unfurloughed and returned to work! I was a little nervous, but three weeks in, I've gotten into the swing of things. The measures we've taken at work really reassures me, and has defo made the experience so much sweeter!
Below is a pic of a few selfies I took before going to work to prove that yes, I am still alive! (Lol)
003: animal crossing antics:
There's not been a day since the release of this game where I HAVEN'T played ACNH... I've practically logged 400 hours of game play and that really speaks volumes with how my spring/summer has gone so far! There's just something really mindful about looking after your island, interacting with villagers and fishing and catching bugs.
PLUS!! The new swimming update is EVERYTHING! The only thing I hope for right now is a major update for a second island and a cute speedboat to get there.
004: i started a bookstagram!:
If talking about books on my blog and goodreads wasn't enough, last week I gave in and made a bookstagram account! And it was the best decision eveeeeer! I've had such a warm welcome to the community and it looks like I'm not the only one wanting another way to talk about books during this time. SO, if you want to keep up to date with my reading (without having to wait for the next blog post review) then follow me here @ franannareads. You won't regret it!
What has brought you joy in June?
