How To Make The Most Of This Weird Summer

Appreciate the good moments!

What a weird AND crazy time...

Though I personally haven't been on holiday for a good few years, it does feel strange that I can't make an in the moment plan and book one.

I guess practice makes perfect with staycations. So, I'm here today to give you a few tips on how you can make the most of this summer and what to do. Masks and no masks!

  • Head the nearest common or park for a picnic! Gather some favourite snacks, beverages and a blanket and explore your local area and stop off for an eating fest and catch up with friends!
  • Visit a conservatory! Having recently visited the Barbican, I highly recommend it if you love plants as much as I do. Plus you can get lunch after!
  • Support seaside towns and spend a weekend in one! Instead of visiting a sunny country, spend a weekend in a pretty seaside town eating your body weight in ice cream, fish and chips. Plus soaking up the sun and sights.
  • Go to a lavender field! It might be slightly busy, but if you're into the whole obsession with lavender oil and lavender products, you'll love going there. Plus the one near me is the hot spot for instagrammers and bloggers.
  • Host a barbecue! Socially distanced of course! You can't go wrong with a good supermarket selection of burgers, rolls, cheese slices and an abundance of sausages and peppers. Nom nom nom. And you can have a great chat with friends...
What have you planned for this summer?
