5 Ways To Embrace Autumn

-- Look at the colours of the leaves, and it's time to pull on our fleecy jumpers --

During my more recent busy days at work, I've also taken the time to look at the current season and embrace the approaching shorter and colder days. I have come to the conclusion that I actually really like this time of year. Especially since I ran to Primark the other day to buy a load of jumpers, socks and a pair of uggs. Because that just screams cold seasons doesn't it? I've compiled a post much like this one to give you tips and inspiration on how to embrace the season so far...

001: stock up on hot chocolate and coffee pods
I actually bought a 32p sachet of Maltesers hot chocolate (where you add either hot water or milk) to try as I had a vision of me sitting with the fairy lights on in my dressing gown and slipper boots from Primark, with a hot chocolate in my Starbucks mug watching old school Doctor Who on Netflix. I also really love using my Dolce Gusto coffee machine at this time of year because a cup of mocha or latte is perfect. And if I do like the Maltesers hot chocolate, which I'm sure I will, I'll buy a bigger packet.

002: embrace your inner photographer and take cool autumn pics
If you scroll to the bottom of my blog page, you can see how autumnal my instagram is becoming. I've taken on the mission to be all warm and cool with my theme. Though both pumpkin pictures aren't my own. I also think the leaves are really pretty at this time of year and it's a good opportunity to get your camera out!

003: get the candles out and burn the hell out of them
Whether you want to embrace Christmas early or feel the house/room with the scent of pumpkins. I think making the most of the cold is getting a few candles burning. I particularly love Hot Toddy which is a three wick candle from TK Maxx.

004: unashamedly buy some uggs and wear a scarf
I have to wear a coat now when I go to work, and whether you like them or not, uggs are super comfy and perfect for keeping your feet toasty. I've warmed to tartan scarves now and I also think those fluffy socks you can wear with autumn boots are fitting as well. Just layer everything because it's the best time of year to!

005: wear warmer toned makeup looks
Get some use out of natural palettes, berry lipsticks and warm glittery shades. Because that's what I've been doing and I've felt ever so cool with the cult classic Pumpkin Spice Latte. Instead of having Urban Decay try this budget friendly palette that I've been using ALL THE TIME NOW.

What do you guys do to embrace Autumn?

  2. One of the things I absolutely adore about this time of year is the hot drinks, as I much prefer them to cold drinks! Also love snuggling in bed at the moment which I probably shouldn't be doing so much as I should be really studying!
