The Autumn Beauty Edit

Wear the colour of leaves on your eyes

When it comes to a new season, one post I look forward to compiling together is the beauty edit! Not only does it give myself ideas on what I can create in one look for the season, but it's sooo satisfying to see the prettiest colour palette together.

And the best thing is, you can trust my recommendations because they're all my holy grail favourites - even the palette that I've only had for a month haha.

001: Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette:
Sorry that it's sadly blurry in the photo. Bad blogger skills right there. Buuuut, after much deliberation and combing through numerous reviews online, I bit the bullet and bought the £41 palette. I needn't have worried about the few negative reviews as I am soo in love with it! Each colour is super pigmented and blends so well together so you can make autumn leaf inspired eye looks. And the bonus thing is that the brush that comes with it is really decent woo hoo.

002: I Heart Makeup Unicorns Heart highlighter:
Bought this on a whim as I saw it all over Pinterest but this £5 highlighter is actually surprisingly pigmented so you have to go really light on it. Great for giving an overall glow and highlight to any makeup look this season - and it's just so stunning to look at.

003: Barry M Matte Me Up Metallic liquid kits in 24 Carat and Prestige:
Having fallen in love with the first release of their lip kits (which fyi are the best in quality I've found in the drugstore so far), seeing these made my day. Pretty autumnal colours that give a pop to any look, so you can go all nude on the eyes and use the lipstick to channel the best season of the year. Apart from Christmas obviously. It's not streaky on application and feels nice and moisturising on the lips.

004: Lush Popcorn lip scrub:
A bit random, but your lips have got to be scrubbed, moisturised and looking tip top for lipstick. And mine tend to get dry around this time of year. Any lip scrub from the brand can do but the one I currently have is Popcorn. Made with caster sugar and natural oils, it's the most perfect natural treat for the lips. This one is sadly discontinued but if you can get your hands on it still, defo sweep it up as it tastes like sweet and salty popcorn nom nom nom.

005: Soap & Glory Peach Party blush:
I put this in EVERY autumn beauty post, but this peach blush is my favourite for this time of year as you get such a lovely warm glow. Plus there's highlight pigments in there which adds a nice touch as you don't get that in other drugstore blushes. Not much else I can say except S&G have some of the best quality makeup.

006: Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara:
I'm finally back to my favourite mascara and this one is in limited edition packaging oooh. It's a pretty pink gold and the product itself coats the lashes so well and gives plenty of volume. Much prefer this to the Benefit mascaras I used to use and it's cheaper as well! Again, this is the best mascara from the drugstore you can get. 5 stars!

  2. That packaging for the Lash Sensational is gorgeous! Makes me want to get it just for that haha, although I've used it in the past and it is indeed one of the best drugstore mascaras I've ever tried, it does compare to Benefit!
