The year in highlights
2017. What a year. So many amazing things have happened that would take like three years for me to talk about with you. I may be still suffering from an illness (rip me) but tonight I'll be starting my pamper evening to cheer myself up, and then stuffing myself with Domino's pizza while waiting for midnight to arrive.
Before the year is up, I thought I'd do my annual post about what made my year. Some are big, some are small, but these are what come to mind when I think about 2017. So without further ado, here they are...
001: seeing all my friends again: This was the year I got to catch up with even more friends I haven't seen in ages because of uni and work. I also made new friends from work! I sound like I have no social life and this is going to sound lame haha but because me and my friends are all so busy we hardly see each other, so meeting up with them makes my day.
002: landing my dream job: In the summer after so many tries, I FINALLY landed my dream job with Lush woo hoo. I'm so grateful and I hope next year will be the year I progress more and start to work on my creative dream as well!
003: all the books: There's been so many books I've read and loved this year. If you weren't aware, I'm a serious bookworm and managed to complete the goodreads challenge of the year and read 40 books yay. I'll link a couple of book posts here and here, so you guys can see what I read this year as if I talk about them in this post I'll get reaaaally rambly heh.
004: finding my niche in blogging and youtube: With my 'branding' - or whatever you guys call the design, aesthetics and the way you communicate with readers and viewers - I feel like after three years of blogging and two years of youtube I've finally found my niche! Blogging: I feel my way of writing and editing photos along with my theme are to how I want. Plus I'm super happy with the topics I talk about. Youtube: I have my favourite background music I use all the time, thumbnail theme and endscreen. And I'm so excited to see what next year brings.
005: discovering new favourite tv shows: Like every person my age, the whole year I've been glued to Netflix and have seen all the best shows to be released. And they include: Stranger Things, iZombie, Jane The Virgin, The Crown, The Mighty Boosh, etc. These shows have made me cry, laugh, and made me want more series to be released.
What have been your highlights this year?
