And that are super delicious
My unspoken goal for 2018 was to eat more healthy snacks - and not always reach for that pack of pretzels or cakes when I'm feeling peckish. ESPECIALLY when I'm doing a mid shift and I need to take in food to eat before work.
Recently, I signed up for a Holland and Barratt card, and since then I've been going SO often to stock up that I've acquired quite a bit of points for my next shop... (I'm obviously not sponsored by them, they're just the best go to for healthy snacks!) And I've defo found some favourites that I reach for, and I thought I'd talk about them here...
001: bear pure fruit yo yo's: I first discovered these before a shift in my old job in WHSmith. And since then I've occasionally treated myself to them. They're pure fruit yo yo's (like the winderz we all used to eat as kids) but less sweet and sugary and just SO GOOD. There's flavours like raspberry, mango, apple, blackcurrant, etc.
And they add one extra fruit into each one like pear. They're filling and perfect as a snack after a sandwich at lunch or in the afternoon.
002: nakd bars: OMG. If you haven't seen other bloggers and people in general rave about these snacks, then take my word for it!
These are life changing.
These little bars are healthy but taste like something really naughty. E.g. bakewell tart which is just made from dates and nuts pressed together with natural flavouring. And the best thing is that I can have these with an afternoon coffee without feeling guilty because they count as one of your five a day. (Apart from the ones with peanuts in) My faves include: bakewell tart, rhubarb and custard, gingerbread, pecan pie, apple pie, etc.
003: cliff bars: A more recent discovery but you can also include trek bars and perkier bars in with this. I'm all about energy bars at the moment and most of the ones I eat have peanuts or cacoa in.
There seems to be cacoa in everything...
This isn't the most healthiest to eat, but it makes a great change from your average chocolate bar. And I do find I get a little energy too!
004: other snacks: I'm also partial to the moreish graze snacks (particularly lemon drizzle flapjack nom nom nom) and crisp alternatives like hippeas which are organic chickpea puffs - a bit like wotsits - and have cheese, herb and sweet and smokin' flavours! They are sooo good and are like 90 calories per pack!

I love the Graze snacks too, and they have a lot of variety which is great. Other than than, a healthy snack I love having is houmous with bell peppers, or celeri, or even healthy crackers. A little more prep if you have to get the houmous to work with you, but it's delicious!
