'I love you'
.. I say to myself.
And what of it?
Last year's post did pretty well, so I'm coming at you guys with a few ways that I'm going to treat myself on the day of luuuuurve.
Because let me be real with you. Some people either just don't have the luck, nor the time for a relationship. (That's both me fyi) And that's ok!
The most important thing is that you appreciate the love you have for your friends, family and yourself. And it shouldn't be limited to one day that retail pushes...
Having said that, I am working the day of Valentine's - but this self care is going to happen in small ways. Read on to get ideas for yourself!
001: find a quote and draw it in my bullet journal:
I'm going for something full of self love to help me feel lucky to be me in my own skin. Because, I feel it's natural to pick ourselves apart and compare ourselves to others. Sooo, this year it's going to be along the lines of 'I'm the best and I deserve my own love...'
002: have a cheeky lunch:
Near my work I have a few of my favourite 'naughty' chains. Think Taco Bell, Five Guys, etc. What's a Valentine's Day without treating yourself to a favourite lunch?? (That also has loads of healthy carbs nom nom lol)
003: buy myself some chocolates:
When you come home from work, it's nice to have an extra treat. Soooo, I'm thinking of buying myself some mini eggs. These are (1.) my favourite and (2.) if I had an other half, I'd be hoping to receive something like this too. Plus Cadbury's makes any day much better.
004: do my makeup extra nice:
To make myself feel good and self appreciated. Also, as it's Valentine's Day, it's pretty much a great excuse to draw a heart on the cheek - am I right?
How are you spending V Day?
