Benefit Roller Lashes: The New Cult Favourite?

-- Is this product worth the hype? I've given
into buying ELLE to find out --

Ok, I gave in, when I said in my Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara post that I wouldn't buy ELLE  to try out the mascara, I completely contradicted myself and went out to buy it yesterday. (The sad thing was that all the travel editions had no mascaras but gaping holes in the packaging... people must be really desperate... So I had settle for the massive one *sad face*) Anyways, the actual packaging itself is pretty cute, I prefer it to the full size one, as it's more sleek. Though, with everyone raving about it I wanted to see how good the formula is and how it makes my eyelashes look.

Firstly, the brush itself is quite thin and small, I'm used to chunky brushes myself, but I was ready to give this a go. I can't really compare this to the Benefit They're Real! Mascara, so I didn't know what to expect. The formula is thinner than what I've had before, so it's easier to glide over the lashes, and I think the thinner brush allows avoidance of clumps.

As you guys can see, I don't think there's much difference in the curling as my eyelashes look the same before and after. But I do have to say, they look more defined and the appliance of it was so easy I love it. I probably love this mascara for different reasons to other bloggers, but as a volume girl, this wouldn't be my cult fave. So, sadly I won't be forking out £19.50 for the full size.

In conclusion, I'm starting to think I'm applying it wrong or my eyelashes are weirdly shaped because I'm looking in the mirror and they look totally different to other blogger's pictures of their eyelashes... But, it was really easy to apply, so I do recommend it to you guys for that haha. (I bet you guys already have the product oops)

If you have it, what do you think of it?

  1. I've been looking in the shops for this also and I'm surprised you've managed to find one! I can't believe that people are ripping up the packaging just for the mascara though! I'm so keen to try it out, I think it looks gorgeous on you! :) xx

  2. I've been hearing so much about this mascara, strange that you didn't find that it did much for you. But I can't believe people have been taking it out of the magazines! Really don't get why people do things like that... xx

    1. I know right! and yeah I think it looks better with natural make up for me (just eye-shadow and mascara with no eyeliner) :)

  3. Oh my god wow, that's really annoying that people ripped the mascaras out! I think maybe it didn't work for you because you have long eyelashes already? My eyelashes are pretty short and it did wonders of making them look longer and curled.
