Current Happenings In My Life {Spring Edition}


Little tit bits from my life

Even though I've been posting a little bit on my blog about beauty bits I've been loving, where I've been eating, etc. I feel a bit guilty that I've not talked about what I've been up to when I'm not blogging while being ever so *slightly* inactive on here.

I'm sorry guys.

But I hope I can make up for it with this installment of the 'Currently' series - which has accidentally become a series...

Sooo here we go...

001: watching: french and saunders! Netflix recently added ALL the series of French and Saunders, and after watching the special episode at Christmas where they recreated some classic sketches, I KNEW I had to watch it. The series started in 1987 - so a looong time ago - but it's actually so hilarious! I recommend watching it if you are in need of cheering up or just want some comedy in your life.

002: reading: wicked! Having been to see Wicked in the west end, I just had to pick up the book that inspired it. I'm veeery nearly finished and I have to say I can pick out some bits that were in the musical - but really it's completely different.

All the characters end up in different situations, I have to admit, it takes thinking a book and a musical/film are seperate things to a whole new level. Like they are basically separate, but knowing that, the book is actually quite good.

003: smelling: lush products! When the weather gets warmer, I don't burn ANY candles. I have summery candles in my collection but I've just never lit them because I spend half my time in the garden when I can.

So, I'm putting my scent sensations down to the Lush I've been using. From bath to shower, there's been an array of scents that have made my days. Think floral jasmine, sweet rose, grapefruit and even cypress oil oooooohhh.

004: eating: yushoi pea snacks! I had an addiction to crisps. Not the type where I would have them at any moment of the day, but the kind that when I had a sandwich, I felt I needed a packet with it or it wouldn't feel like a full meal... Buuuut, I discovered the Yushoi pea snacks in ASDA the other month, and I've just been obsessed with them!

You can get balsamic vinegar and soy, sweet chilli and lemon and lightly salted. All are pretty good and are 88 calories a pack/serving. I'm defo not sponsored by them but if I were to be it would be a dreeaaam. Because then I could eat the ALL THE TIME.

005: listening: mamma mia! movie soundtrack! After binge watching all the trailers for the new second installment of the musical film - which is coming out this summer fyi and I'm super stoked! - I had to listen to the original soundtrack. Me and the family have lost the dvd, I don't know where it's gone, so I've been living the mamma mia! film/ABBA life through the music.

And it's always put me in such a good mood. I've loved ABBA since I was in primary school and my parents own the original cd's. #oldschool So, you know what I'll be listening to till the film is in the cinemas.

  1. I always have to have a packet of crisps with a sandwich, such a bad habit so I'll definitely have to check out the yushoi snack peas!
