Postcards From My 21st Birthday Week

All the aesthetically pleasing bday shots

Hello, I'm back kids!

*dusts the blog a bit*

I've been gone a while - well a week - but I really wanted to take time out and not only spend time with my family and friends, but to celebrate my birthday to the full! (Well, a birthweek lmao)

I thought to kick off my return, I'd share with you guys some of the photos I took during my week so you guys can see what I got up to. Seven days of fun with everyone I care about - it involves A LOT of food and pleasing aesthetics let me tell you...

Without further ado let's get into it woo!

001: birthday cake: The above picture of my cake is not a professionally made order, it's actually from Morrisons. And I know, it TOTALLY fits my insta theme! It was a gorgeous madeira cake with raspberry jam and the tastiest buttercream and white and milk chocolate decorations!! Nom nom nom.

002: birthday bath: I had my traditional birthday morning bath with Lush's Intergalactic bath bomb. It was probably my favourite use of this bomb ever - it made the prettiest colourful swirls. Just look at it!!

003: 21st selfie: I reaaally wanted to do that stereotypical instagram birthday selfie with the foil balloons. But your girl wasn't going to spend an extortionate amount just for a photo. So she photoshopped them in. Which you can see clearly in this post, but half of you couldn't tell when I posted it on insta haha.

004: yorica moments: On my birthday, me and my mum went to Oxford Street for a bit of shopping to celebrate the big day. Mainly for the LO x Dr Martens docs - but they were sold out. But along the road from the store, we popped into Yorica for the best free from fruity fro-yo's ever. I LOVE Yorica and the raspberry is soooo good. Defo didn't feel guilty for eating it then going home to cake...

005: kensington picnic and notting hill flowers: On Thursday, I met up with some of my favourite people from my previous work place and we had the most relaxed picnic in Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and caught up on each other's lives. After, we ventured along Portobello Road - where I took my favourite pic of wysteria flowers outside farmgirl cafe before grabbing Starbucks. As usual.

006: franco manca pizza: On the Friday, I met ANOTHER friend. Wow, I actually had a social life last week... And we went to Franco Manca for pizza and a catch up. It was an amazing pizza as well! Baked in a wood fire oven with sough dough that wasn't all that salty. And the cheese omg.

007: lazy oaf x dr martens dreams realised: As a birthday present to myself I FINALLY ordered the Lazy Oaf Dr Martens in pink off the site. Because I deserve a treat right?? I was soo excited to get them and I'm soooo in love. They are literally me in a shoe and I can't wait to wear them EVERYWHERE. You're only 21 once right??

008: finaallyyy seeing wicked in the west end: On the Saturday, me and my parents went to the Apollo Victoria theatre to see Wicked. And omg. This musical was INCREDIBLE. Sophie Evans and Alice Fearn were amazing as Glinda and Elphaba. I already want to see it again. Plus the set, lighting and costumes was spot on. What. An. Experience.

009: a day out for brunch and shoreditch adventures: To finish off the week, I saw another friend for brunch at Cafe Miami in Hackney. (blog post coming soon) The food was amazing as well as the aesthetics. We also meandered down to Shoreditch where we took pics of the flowers on Columbia Road and I posed in front of the prettiest wall opposite Boxpark.

I had such a lovely week exploring different parts of London and making more memories with loads of friends. I'm so grateful and I still can't believe I'm 21 haha.
