Battle Of The Cruelty Free Mascaras {Barry M vs Revolution}

What's worth it?

I'm going to be COMPLETELY honest with you guys.

I'm not making an overall conscious effort to go completely vegan in the area of makeup. But it seems a lot of my favourite products and brands now seem to be cruelty free. (Ooooh)

Aaaaaand, I recently picked up two mascaras that fit the bill of being good to the bunnies - and I'm going to put them against each other today!!

Which will come up on top?

001: barry m show girl extra volumising mascara:
This one was the first out of the two I purchased... As I just finished my Benefit bad gal bang mascara (which is 1. sadly not cruelty free and 2. hella expensive), I wanted a cheap friendly replacement.

I'm being real here, it was the packaging that sold it to me as I'm a SUCKER for anything pink. For £4.99 you really can't go wrong. But on performance... Uuuuuhhhh...

I REALLY want to like Barry M as a brand, but I only ever like their nail paints and liquid lips. And I guess it's going to stay that way. If something says 'extra volumising' you expect it right? This just gives the most natural subtle look ever.

And I'm not about that life.

If you love that, then you'll love this. But for me I was looking for a mascara that looks like you've got mascara on without the spidery eyelash effect. And this isn't it sadly. Mascara wand you have deceived me...

002: revolution the mascara revolution:
THIS LITTLE BABY ON THE OTHER HAND IS UNREAL. In an extreeeemely good way!

For £3 more. (£8) You get so much more better quality. And this mascara proves why Revolution is one of my favourite drugstore brands.

It gives you length and volume and is enough to rival the Benefit BGB. Honestly.

AND it's worth the hype - more than the nyx worth the hype! The wand is beautifully chunky, but easy to apply to the lashes with minimal mess. (I'm still prone to getting mascara around my eyes lol)

I love the cute packaging, and the fact that it's so affordable. I think I've legit found my new staple.
