Bringing that pop of colour to my life
What do you do when you have enough Boots points to treat yourself?
Buy ANOTHER eyeshadow palette.
That's what.
I've had my eye on the Makeup Obsession Rady Daydream palette for what feels like years. And your girl finally gave in and splurged her £10 worth of points on it.
What attracted me to it was... (1.) the cover illustration is STUNNING and (2.) I'm a legit magpie when it comes to brightly coloured palettes. So, it was basically calling to me...
Featuring 16 versatile shades - cos' you've got a couple of 'nude' shades that you can work with too - there's plenty of looks you can play around with. Aaaaand did I mention it has really cute cardboard packaging?
Plus, it reaaaally does remind me of the Jeffree Star Jawbreaker palette.
(Anyone else feeling those vibes??)
Now onto what the actual shades are like...
Let's get one thing CLEAR.
'Raindance' - the silver shimmer - is the most insanely pigmented and buttery shimmer I've eveeer come across. I know I rave about my love for Revolution and their shades, but seeing as this is my first ever MO product, I'm shooketh to the coreth.
'Happy Tears' is a beautiful bright blue shimmer that is great to work with, though you need a little more effort. Same goes with 'Kew' the matte green. Though other mattes like 'Lily' and 'Yellow Rose' apply well straight away. I know - a yellow that actually shows up!!
I'm completely in love with the yellow, pink and blues and it's giving me excitable jitters because I just want to play around with it forever. And that my friends, is how a budget friendly palette should make you feel.
It's a lovely introduction to Makeup Obsession and their palettes. And I can't wait to delve more into the brand...
If you want to hear more of my thoughts, watch me test out the palette in my video below!
Have you used Makeup Obsession before?
