A Luxury Morning Routine Guide

-- A perfect weekend must
always start with this --

Whether you're feeling like today is the new Monday, because it's Tuesday, or you're just stuck in a mountain of stress there's always time to pamper yourself. And looking forward to a lovely luxury routine on a Saturday morning may be just the thing you need. What I am about to list is what I do every Saturday without fail. And it involves plenty of Lush - oops please forgive me.

You're probably feeling exhausted from a full on day on Friday to get work done before the weekend meaning studying, coursework, etc, is demanded to be forgotten when you wake up refreshed on a Saturday morning. The best thing to do is gather your favourite shower scrub/gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner and head to the bathroom. I highly recommend the Rub Rub Rub shower scrub from Lush as exfoliating on dry skin and then rinsing it off is the best feeling ever and your skin feels like a baby's bum. (Quite literally.) But whatever floats your boat will do.

After, get your favourite lotion and moisturize your skin for that extra fresh morning feeling. It's important to do this anyway, but smelling good and feeling refreshed will help you relax and feel productive for the day. I enjoy using the Zoella Beauty lotion as it gives a fresh light scent and it's not too heavily perfumed so you don't smell like a perfume shop. Next, wash your hair. If you're into natural ingredients that will look after your hair - I recommend highly the Veganese conditioner and Big Shampoo. I've been using Lush on my hair for nearly a year and I can tell you my hair has never been healthier compared to when I used Herbal Essenses. Have I sold you yet? Good.

If you want you can do a hair mask after, and then dry your hair and you're good to go for the day. This luxury routine is amazingly simple and really does lift my mood for the weekend ahead, and then I can relax with a coffee and do my makeup after.

Have you guys got any morning routines that you recommend?

  2. I have never used a Lush product before and I was wondering which one you would suggest first? I'm quite interested in their body washes and bath bombs(:

    1. For a bath bomb, I would actually recommend the Brightside bubble bar as it was the first product I ever tried and it has an amazing citrus scent. Plus, for £4.50 it goes a long way with four baths :) and I've only tried the shower scrub featured in the post and snow fairy which is a Christmas special. I hope I helped xx
