Max Factor Face Finity Foundation

-- A new every day foundation --

Continuing on my hunt to find the perfect foundation, I came across the Max Factor Face Finity foundation. It claims to be a three in one primer, concealer and foundation and seeing that it has loads of amazing reviews on the Boots website, I thought I would try it out.

Firstly, I got the shade 'natural' but there are lighter shades in the range. I thought this foundation had more of a pink tone to it than other products that I've tried. It also has an SPF of 20 and creates a cream to powder finish. Now, this is where I get critical. I have really bad dark under-eyes so I found there wasn't any effect for concealing them and I just had to resort to my trusty Seventeen Stay Time concealer. I don't really know what to say on the primer side, but I just use my Benefit POREFessional anyway.

The coverage is good, but because my skin is normal, it works for me anyway and I don't think the cream to powder finish made my skin look really dry. I personally wouldn't recommend this to people who suffer from dry skin but for normal, combination and oily it should be fine. I generally really like this as a foundation but I wouldn't rely on it for a primer or concealer. I've been wearing it for most of the week and my skin feels soft whenever I apply it.

I won't say it's a life changing product and I think Rimmel foundations are generally the best in drugstore, but I would use this again if I wanted another change!

What's your current favourite foundation?

  1. This sounds like a pretty good drugstore foundation - one to try out for sure!

  2. I love this foundation! I've never tried Rimmel so I can't compare them, but I've had this Max Factor foundation for a while now and I still love it just as much. I have an oily skin and it does work well with it! However I agree on the coverage, you do have to use concealer, but for skins with no particular problem, this works very well! :)
