The Highlighting Palette To Rival Hourglass

-- Get an A in Highlighting 101 --

If you asked me what a highlighter was when I first started blogging, I would have instantly said the pen you use for revision. Now I'll say it's the creamy iridescent liquid that gives you major glowing face game. And the Sleek (yep that's right) Highlighting palette in Solstice is the one to beat all the drugstore and maybe even high end products. You should know that I'm in love with their eyeshadow palettes so I was so excited to try this when I saw it. It comes in a beautiful gold packaging which is refreshing from their trademark black, and even though it's plastic, it's super light (which is good for travel) and gives off an expensive looking sheen. Though the rim is magnetic so closes easily and securely.

From left to right, you get four colours: Eliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar and Equinox. These colours each have a purpose for a part of the face and are aimed to lift and highlight the brow-bone, add shimmer to the cheekbones, highlight the bridge of your nose and enhance lips on the cupid's bow. But of course, you're free to use them for whatever you want. Now down to the main event. These colours are amazingly pigmented and are lovely to blend in, I didn't think I would be into the colours of this palette as I'm all for the pink toned ones.

Hemisphere and Equinox look just like something out of an Hourglass palette, and I can't say whether the quality of them are 10 times better. But I'm all for a palette that costs a mere £10 compared to the £60 mark. If you need one more reason to be convinced to treat yourself to one of the impressive highlight products out there, then you should know that drugstore brands like Sleek are really coming close to fully competing with luxury brands. I am not even kidding. Now I'll be juggling this baby along with my beloved S&G highlight stick!

What highlight products are you guys obsessed with?
