The Best Things To Look Forward To In Autumn

The Get Cosy Season

Autumn is one of my ALL TIME favourite seasons. I mean fyi if you didn't know that already from the numerous times I've mentioned it here, on twitter and on instagram lmao. And I love doing all the things you can do in this time of year - PLUS it means we're just a bit closer to Christmas yaaaay.

I do this post every year, but I never fail to get excited to write this one to welcome it in. Because list posts get me pumped and also give me inspiration to make the most of this magical time of year...

  • There's no excuse to not to have all the pumpkin spice lattes. It's the best sweetest and spiciest coffee beverage ever. Apart from the gingerbread latte obviously.
  • Sweaters and knitwear can FINALLY be lived in! Give me all the cosiness.
  • Aaaaaaaalll the scarves. I mean you can get a new one every time it comes around every year right?
  • Seeing all the leaves change colours. Red, orange, brown, etc. It's just all so preetttyyyyy.
  • Going for walks and picking up the most beautiful leaves for flatlay photos.
  • Time to pull out the Halloween films. I.e. Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic!
  • Having Harry Potter marathons with throws, sweets and the fire on. (Though we can watch it any time of the year really...)
  • Throws in general are a winner. On your bed, sofa, around you like a cape...
  • Lush Halloween. Duh. This year's collection is set to be one of my favourites!
  • Becoming a baking master as bake off is on - plus who doesn't want a warm loaf of cake to tuck into in the evening??
  • Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins!
  • Buying a new palette or lipstick just because it looks perfect for the season - even if we have another shade similar.
  • Just taking pictures of everything remotely autumnal for instagram or the blog.
  • Aside from PSLs, mochas, coffees and hot chocolates are the drinks of this half of the year!
  • Putting hygge fully into practice and also trying to be knowledgeable by reading all the books on it.
  • And lastly, who could forget to mention burning every candle you own. More specifically TK Maxx autumn candles. I mean you can't go wrong with Pumpkin Spice and Maple Vanilla right?
What do you guys love about Autumn?

  2. I love this type of post, it's a joy to read them every year as October is around the corner! I can relate to pretty much everything you've said. I've started to see leaves changing colours and it's making me so excited... I also need to get myself a good autumnal candle soon and new fairy lights to add to my room, because as you said it's all about getting cosy! :D

    1. Having a candle with fairy lights on in the evening is the best, and I'm planning to take a walk around my local park as most of the trees are already changing colour :)
